Jasminum officinale
Blooming tea, also known as flowering tea, has its origins in China (Yunnan province), where it was enjoyed not only for its distinctive flavor but also for its aesthetic shape, which was considered an extraordinary art form in itself.
It is made from a base of delicate green tea hand-sewn into the shape of a flower with silk thread.
Preparation: Place the tea ball in a larger transparent cup or glass teapot. Pour hot water (between 90 and 95°C) over the tea ball and wait for 20 seconds for the tea ball to absorb the water, then pour in the remaining water. After 3 minutes, the tea is ready to enjoy.
A ball of tea weighs approximately 7g.
