Tabil is a Tunisian word that means "spice" or "ground coriander" and refers to the most popular Tunisian spice blend.
Tabil is used to season meat, especially beef, veal, chicken, stuffings, or vegetables. Tunisians use it much like we use seasoning salt.
The blend consists of garlic, cumin, chili, and coriander seeds ground together in equal proportions. The mixture can be either spicy or mild, depending on the amount of hot peppers used.
Tabil can be stored in a well-sealed container for years.
GOOD for most savory dishes, meat.
